PEOPLE’S CHRISTIANITY IN MODERN CULTURE OF KUBAN REGION

Abstract. When writing the article the author used records made in 2016 in the course of an ethno-linguistic expedition in settlements of Temryuk district of Krasnodar region. The analysis of the collected materials allows concluding on prevalence of people’s Christianity among bearers of Kuban traditional culture, which is a harmonious unity of canonical Orthodoxy and elements of pagan beliefs. The work considers how worldview attitudes of people’s Christianity are realized in the sphere of everyday life of the population of Kuban Cossack villages in the modern epoch.
