Abstract. The article is devoted to the actual problems of modern Russian word- and form-formation in their interaction, to the development of inter-category and between-parts-of-speech correlations. On the basis of the contextual usage of the forms "marry" and "married" the question of the necessity of the revision of some general theoretical positions of derivation studies is considered.
