SEMANTIC INTENSIFICATORS OF THE EXPRESSION OF EMOTIONAL STATES IN FRENCH EMOTIVE PHRASEOLOGY

Abstract. In the article the problem of the expression of a man's emotional states (ES) with the help of poly-semic and poly-emotional phraseological units (PU) of the French language is considered. The semantic analysis of the investigated units allowed revealing the specific semantic means promoting the expression of the intensity of ES. These are the emotional semes of the components of phraseological units. One PU is capable to possess more than one intensificating seme.
