GLOSSARIES OF CANT IN THE SERIES OF BOOKS BELLMAN OF LONDON BY T. DEKKER

Abstract. In the article the brief analysis of the glossaries of cant in the series of books by T. Dekker is represented. T. Dekker reflects on the origin and nature of cant looking at its history from the erection of the Babel tower. Cant lexical units are accompanied by lexicographic analysis based on the data of the most developed Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English by E. Partridzh.
