THE PROBLEM OF THE DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN SYNONYMY AND VARIANCE

Abstract. In the article the review of the basic criteria of the differentiation between synonymy and variance with the help of the method of the analysis of the comparison of the distribution of variant and synonymic phenomena among texts with their subsequent hypothetical stylistic interpretation is given. The semantic variation of a language unit is based on the non-identity of the plan of contents when there is the identity of the plan of expression, the formal variation - on the non-identity of the plan of expression when there is the identity of the plan of the contents.
