THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CONCEPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION OF SELF-DEPENDENT WORK WHILE STUDYING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE BY THE FIRST- AND SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS OF THE INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY, OIL AND GAS OF TOMSK POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY

Abstract. In the article some problems of the organization and conducting students' self-dependent work (SSDW) while studying the English language at the first and second courses at the Institute of Geology, Oil and Gas are considered. Special attention is paid to the growth of SSDW role in a higher educational establishment, to the problems of the organization of a student's self-dependent activity under the conditions of the modern development of higher school, the most relevant aspects of this type of educational activity such as goals and purposes, efficiency, control, a student's personal characteristics meaning, a teacher's role in SSDW organization are presented.
