BOOK SURVEY AS THE GENRE OF MASS-INFORMATIONAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the research of book survey and its characteristic as the genre of mass-informational discourse. Special attention is paid to revealing the pragmatic varieties of this genre. In the article the communicative intention of the reviewer is considered as one of the key criteria of this genre classification and the description of distinguished sub-genres taking into consideration intention and structure of this or that genre variety and also linguistic means use is presented.
