TO THE ETYMOLOGY OF GOTHIC WINDS AND ANCIENT ENGLISH WIND

Abstract. This article is devoted to the etymological and word-formative analysis of Gothic winds and ancient English wind, to the study of their lexical-semantic combinative power towards the other words in a sentence. According to this the author concludes that wind was an animate object according to the ancient views.
