ENGLISH COMPOSITE SENTENCE IN DIFFERENT GRAMMATICAL TRADITIONS: TERMINOLOGICAL ISSUES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the syntactical terms, which are met in native and foreign English Grammar books and reference books while describing different types of modern English composite sentence and its components. The author reveals the coincidences and differences in the terminology of two grammatical traditions.
