ABOUT PLURAL FORMS IN TURKIC LANGUAGES: SYNCHRONISTIC AND DIACHRONIC ASPECTS

Abstract. The author considers plural form development history by the material of both modern Turkic languages and ancient Turkic period, presents the comparative-historical analysis of the researched form by the material of different languages of Turkic group - Uzbek, Uigur, Chuvash, Karapalak, Kazakh and so on. The suggested analysis allows demonstrating different phonetic variants of this form and also its use peculiarities and existing differences. Taking into account that the basic variant of the plural form in Turkic languages is the affixes-лар,-ла, it becomes evident that the considered form specificity is not only determined by vowel harmony law, but also depends on the concrete historical conditions of Turkic languages grammatical system functioning and formation.
