CONCEPT OF DOG IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES FROM LINGUO-CULTUROLOGICAL VIEWPOINT

Abstract. The author considers the linguo-cultural aspect of the concept of dog in the English and Russian languages by the material of phraseological units, proverbs, sayings, the comparative turns of speech, which have the word dog in their composition, and due to the inability to limit the concept only by lexical-phraseological level, turns to the Indo-European mythological traditions connected with this concept.
