CORRELATION OF NOTIONS "LANGUAGE", "CULTURE" AND "PICTURE OF THE WORLD"

Abstract. The author reveals the content of the notions "picture of the world", "conceptual picture of the world", "language picture of the world", "cultural picture of the world", traces their connection with each other, tells about the origin and development of the understanding of the term "picture of the world", the variety of pictures of the world, the way of their implementation at the level of consciousness, and presents the interpretations of these notions by the scientists, who concerned these issues (M. Ya. Blokh, Yu. D. Apresyan, G. A. Brutyan, E. S. Kubryakova, A. A. Potebnya and others), their views and different approaches to the solution of the interaction of the above mentioned notions.
