Abstract. The author describes the intonation features of the English-language presentation discourse, considers the basic notions and categories that reveal the specificity of the academic sphere of communication and presentation as an academic discourse genre, and tells that the research of multimedia presentation genre as one of the modern tools of teaching and information presentation is especially topical.
