LANGUAGE PICTURE OF ARAB SPRING AND ITS REPRESENTATION IN RUSSIAN MEDIA

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of new realia that emerged against the background of the Arab Spring. The Arabic names of these realia and the nature of their representation in the Russian media are studied. The different variants of the Russian equivalents of the Arabic words-realia are shown. The methods used for the translation of these words into the Russian language are considered, among them hypo-hyperonimic translation and loan translation are emphasized. The differences in the meanings of the Arabic names and their Russian equivalents are studied. Such an analysis will be of interest to specialists in the sphere of translation theory and practice, comparative linguistics and Oriental Studies.
