BROADCASTERS’ ETHNICAL FEATURES AS FACTOR INFLUENCING TIMBRE CHARACTERISTICS OF "HEY" INTERJECTION

Abstract. The article presents the ethnical sound features of "Hey" interjection as the factor influencing prosodic word characteristics in the quasi-spontaneous speech of the American ethnos broadcasters. The author accents the main attention on the speech differentiation of the Americans of the European and African origins using the assessment of the prosodic sound features by the example of "Hey" interjection and the multifunctional computer programs PRAAT and Speech Analyzer .
