PEJORATIVES AS MAN’S QUALITATIVE CHARACTERISTIC IN AVARIAN LANGUAGE FROM COGNITIVE SEMANTICS POSITION (IN COMPARISON WITH RUSSIAN)

Abstract. The Avarian pejoratives are researched in the article for the purpose of their role revelation in the man’s qualitative characteristic formation from the position of the Daghestani phraseology and cognitive semantics. Irony and sarcasm functioning in the Avarian language is considered as one of the man’s characteristic methods. The supposition is put forward, according to which negative-valuation connotation refers to the denotatum only after its association with negative image in the man’s consciousness. The author pays special attention to the contrastive analysis of equivalent phraseological units, including the terms "negative valuating", "pejoratives", "phraseological units", "cognitive semantics".
