SECULAR TRAVEL NOTES AND THE LITERARY SCHOOLS OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XVIII TH CENTURY: ON THE CORRELATION OF SENTIMENTALISM AND PRE-ROMANTICISM

Abstract. The author discusses the basic laws of travel literature development in the second half of the XVIII th century in terms of the interaction between artistic-aesthetic systems in the Russian literature of this period: considers the influence of sentimentalism and pre-romanticist tendencies on secular travel notes, and by the example of specific travel literature essays reveals the typological features of the Russian pre-Romanticism and sentimentalism both at formal level, and at content level – ideological-philosophical.
