MOTIVATION AND REPRESENTATIVENESS AS THE MOST IMPORTANT PROPERTIES OF LANGUAGE SIGNS

Khazimullina Elena Evgen'evna
Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla

Abstract. The author considers motivation and representativeness as the most important properties of formal and semantic language signs ensuring its viability and communicative suitability, reveals the notion of external and internal motivation, which is derived from three-level stratification of language by L. M. Vasil'ev, and shows language as poly-motivated system, since at any given time its almost every sign is conditioned by some extra- and/or intra-linguistic motivator.
Key words and phrases: мотивированность языка, репрезентативность, формальные, семантические знаки языка, лингвосемиотика, language motivation, representativeness, formal, semantic language signs, linguo-semiotics
