SOUND-DESCRIPTIVE HYPER-EXPRESSIVENESS (BY THE MATERIAL OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE ADVERTISING TEXTS)

Abstract. The author concerns the English language expressiveness, in particular, its sound-descriptive nature, substantiates that this theme is still important and topical as language expressiveness is a sophisticated linguistic category, analyzes the expressiveness by the examples of English-language advertising texts, paying attention to the phonosemantic nature of phonostylistic devices of advertising slogans, and comes to the conclusion about the hyper-expressive character of sound-descriptive component in such suggestive works as advertising texts.
