LEXICAL STRUCTURE OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE REGIONAL VARIANT IN BRITTANY: FEATURES AND METHODS OF FORMATION

Abstract. The author considers the problem of the French language regional variation within France, substantiates the idea that Brittany region is distinguished by the regional form of speech, forming on the basis of the standard French language and multi-level elements of the Breton language as one of the minority languages ??in the region, and pays special attention to the lexical structure characteristics of the French language regional variant spread in Brittany, with the separation of several lexical units groups, somehow transformed under the Breton substrate influence.
