LEXICAL-SEMANTIC CATEGORIES OF VERB AND ASPECTUAL CHARACTERISTIC OF ACTION IN THE KUMYK AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The modern research on the aspectual characteristic of action proceeds from the definition of verb lexical-semantic category by revealing the lexical-grammatical classes of verbs that express bounded and non-bounded actions. The classification of verbs-predicates by the semantic characteristics into dynamic and static shows the features of verbs use in aspect-temporal forms in the Kumyk and English languages, which belong to different systems.
