Abstract. The author considers the history of the formation of philological contexts of God’s biblical Name interpretation (the sacred Tetragrammaton), sets the aim to conduct the hermeneutical analysis of the Divine Name, presents the characteristic of the religious and philosophical-linguistic explanations of Tetragrammaton various translations in the history of culture, and actualizes the theological and religious problematic related to the history of the Russian name glorifying.
