CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION AS SPECIAL KIND OF INTERPERSONAL INTERACTION AND COMPLEX PURPOSE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT

Abstract. The author analyzes the phenomenon of cross-cultural communication as a special kind of interpersonal interaction, pays attention to the analysis of the conditions of success in interaction between different foreign sociums representatives, asserts that the difference in language consciousness of individuals – communication participants, determined by their cultural characteristic, is one of the major factors preventing the achievement of cross-cultural communication effectiveness, and substantiates the necessity of influence on the cognitive sphere of students’ personality through the development of skills to recognize and analyze cross-cultural differences, take them into account in the process of communication.
