METHODOLOGICAL RECOMMENDATIONS ON WORK WITH VIDEO FILMS IN PROCESS OF TEACHING ORAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE SPEECH

Abstract. The author reveals the methodological potential of popular scientific video films that are used in the process of developing professionally oriented scientific monologue speech skills, determines the extra-linguistic parameters of video films, defines the notions "freeze-frame", "video sequence" and "audio sequence", presents the classification of freeze-frames in video films according to the method of speech activity control, and reveals the methodological potential of freeze-frames, episodes, and video films in general as the kinds of visual and audiovisual bases, used for the production of scientific monologue speech in a foreign language.
