ABOUT NAMES OF LOOM'S DETAILS IN THE UDMURT LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article deals with the names of loom and its main details in the Udmurt language. During the analysis the author reveals lexical layers of native and alien words that trace to different periods of language development. Most typical structural models and ways of formation of native Udmurt names are established in the article. Borrowings from the Bulgar and Russian languages that had been contacting with the Udmurt language for certain historical periods are examined.
