ILLOCUTIONARY VERBS - QUESITIVES IN THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article on the basis of corpus data provides an analysis of illocutionary components of meaning of the Japanese verbs with the interrogative semantics. The basic data for such an analysis are as follows: the actantial structure of the verbs, characteristics of communicative situation concluded from the cases of usage, and also a grammar of a quotation-question. In addition to clarifying the sphere of illocutionary usages of the certain polysemantic verbs the author also presents a description of some derivative verbs developing the special meanings of illocution of a Question. From the investigated material the researcher makes general conclusions on the organization of this semantic field around the "universal" interrogative verb kiku (to ask) in the structure of some specialized, differentiated according to the parameters of illocutionary situation.
