ANALYSIS OF GIFTED INDIVIDUAL’S NON-VERBAL BEHAVIOUR

Ilyukhin Nikita Igorevich
Saratov Social-Economic Institute of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

Abstract. This article analyzes the non-verbal behaviour of a gifted individual, which is currently one of the most common types of characters used by the authors in the cinema. Despite the existence of gifted individual’s image in art, there are no studies in linguistics devoted to the verbal or non-verbal behaviour of these characters. The Russian and foreign (English-speaking) movies are taken as the research material. Particular attention is paid to the appearance of the characters and their sign communication. A classification of gestural techniques used by the characters is presented, and the analysis of the elements of gifted individuals’ appearance is carried out. On the basis of the characters’ non-verbal behaviour features the attempt is made to identify a new psychological personality type, referred to as "a gifted individual".
Key words and phrases: язык одежды, язык жестов, аристократы, бунтари, чистый жест, невербальная фразеологическая единица, language of clothes, sign language, aristocrats, rebels, pure gesture, non-verbal phraseological unit
