META-COMMUNICATIVE DESCRIPTION OF SMILES AND LABIAL EXPRESSIONS IN ABNORMAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to describing one of the most important elements of non-verbal communication - smile. The author examines various types of smiles manifesting themselves as causatives and indicators of communicative anomalies in the inter-personal interaction. The researcher presented linguistic descriptions of this phenomenon, made a comparison of meta-communicative representatives of the communicants’ non-verbal responses within the framework of communicatively contentious and communicatively uncomfortable situations.
