DICHOTOMY "PRODIGAL – RIGHTEOUS" IN STRUCTURE OF A. S. PUSHKIN’S WORKS "THE SNOWSTORM" AND "THE CAPTAIN’S DAUGHTER"

Abstract. The article considers A. S. Pushkin’s indirect address to the archetypal plot about the prodigal son. Author’s consciousness realizes the possibility of the parable main image transformation into the ambiguous images that widen the range of semantic meanings of the word "prodigal", so that the dichotomy "prodigal – righteous" appears in the texts.
