LINGUISTIC AND LOCAL HISTORY ANTHROPONYMIC TEACHING AID FOR FOREIGNERS AS SOURCE OF BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT RUSSIA

Abstract. The article is devoted to the creation problem of linguistic and local history teaching aid on the Russian language as a foreign one about the great people of Russia on the basis of Smolensk onomastic material. The author states that foreigners’ knowledge about "abstract" Russia is formed mainly by means of knowledge about the concrete region, in which they are "involved". The issues of material selection are touched upon, in which basis there are data of a large-scale associative experiment.
