ON ISSUE OF TRANSFORMATION OF ELECTRONIC MASS MEDIA FUNCTIONS IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract. In the article mass media basic functions in the period of information society are revealed. The authors consider different points of view on this problem and note that modern mass media are a complex self-organizing system with many functions. In the article different approaches to the definition of mass media functions in the foreign English-language literature are given. The authors emphasize media-genres determinancy with mass media functions.
