Kazimova Al'bina Maidulakhovna

Abstract. The article touches on sound processes in the consonant system of the Kurush dialect of the Lezgian language. The comparison with the similar system of literary language testifies that the investigated dialect has some peculiar features which are reduced to the discrepancy in the number of sounds and also to the various kinds of sound equivalence. The paper covers such phonetic phenomena as devocalization of the voiced consonants, equivalence of simple obstruents, equivalence of affricates, equivalence of fricatives, substitution, accretion of consonants, dropping of consonants, assimilation and dissimilation, metathesis, labialization and delabialization of consonants.
