BRITICISMS IN THE MODERN FRENCH LANGUAGE (BY THE MATERIAL OF PRINTED MEDIA)

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the problem of English borrowings in the French language. Summarizing the data containing in the researches the authors provide an analysis of adaptation methods of English vocabulary in the French language. Examples from the French printed media served as a material. On the basis of the conducted research the authors accentuate that the process of adaptation occurs in three areas: phonetic, morphological and semantic. According to observations, phonetic adaptation happens more easily than grammatical and semantic.
