COLOR NAMING WORDS "BLACK"AND "RED" IN THE SLAVIC AND TURKIC LANGUAGES

Abstract. The analysis object in the article is the words of color naming "black" and "red" mostly by the material of the Slavic and Turkic languages. The semantics of color-namings "black" and "red" is binominal and consists of two semes: positive and negative. The words of color naming "red" in different phono-semantic variants both in the Slavic and in Turkic languages are raised to the seme "beautiful", "wonderful", "magnificent" ans so on. But this color naming is raised to the concept of fire, flame and sparkle. Formants of the words red, black, cheremnyi and Turkic kara "black", kuren "ginger", kyzyl "red" are homogeneous and are raised to the archetype *кar- (~*qar~*har~*xar~*?ar~…). The prototypes of this archetype are fixed in the Ural-Altaic and Indo-European languages. The phono-semantic proximity is relatively higher between the Slavic and Turkic languages.
