WORD MEANING AS WAY TO CONCEPTUALIZE REALITY (BY EXAMPLE OF YAKUT WORD "СИР")

Abstract. The article presents the results of analysis of etymology, the dictionary definitions, the lexical, semantic, phraseological and syntactic combinability of the Yakut word "сир" - "ground, earth". The basic and additional characteristics of the word meaning are emphasized; they form the concept of the earth according to the data in the language. Cumulative property of the meaning, syntagmatic relations of language representatives contribute to the reconstruction of conceptual image of the world.
