MEDIA-GLOBALIZATION: THE ROLE OF NATIONAL MASS MEDIA IN THE INTERACTION OF COUNTRIES

Abstract. The article reveals the meaning of the concept "media-globalization" and also the importance of this process for the national mass media in relation to the presentation of events happening abroad or concerning the international relations. The paper identifies the basic advantages and disadvantages of the influence of globalization on media-systems. The author accentuates both the influence of the process of globalization on the Russian mass media and the specifics of representation of this subject in them. At the same time the researcher analyzes the presence of such phenomenon as "natio-globalization".
