NOMINATION OF A LEG IN THE SELKUP LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article presents a linguoculturological analysis of the nomination of a leg in the dialects of the Selkup language. For the first time the paper systematizes the material on this aspect of the Selkup language. The author reconstructs the etymon of the Selkup somonym top ~ tob "leg", investigates the processes of metaphorical transfer of this nomination, identifies the derivatives of the lexeme top ~ tob "leg". The researcher performs component analyses of the identified derivatives with a view to reconstruct their internal semantics.
