ON THE HISTORY OF THE TRANSLATIONS OF SAADI'S "THE GULISTAN" INTO THE TATAR LANGUAGE

Abstract. In the article the history of the translation of Saadi's work "The Gulistan" into the Tatar language made at the beginning of the XX century by the Tatar admirer of Persian-Tajik literature Mukhammedsaid Akhmedzhalilov is considered. The creative laboratory of the translator, the reviews on the translation of critics and readers are studied, the attitude of the Tatar readership towards certain plots of the work is revealed. The necessity of critical publication of "The Gulistan" translation made by M. Akhmedzhalilov is grounded.
