Abstract. In the article the author describes intra-syntactic modality of a sentence the markers of which are verbal modifiers, reveals nuances of modal evaluation of predicate which are reflected in component composition of the modifiers and form their complicated modal semantics and in some cases their multiple meaning, focuses on conditions of manifestation of potential connection of subject with predicate and its nature.
