LORD ALARDY IN THE SYSTEM OF OSSETIAN MYTHOLOGICAL POETRY

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing the calendar-ritual poetry of the Ossetians of the summer cycle. The Ossetians associate the name of Alardy with the ritual of "purification" from the terrible diseases. Analyzing the texts the author reveals the peculiarities of their ideological and artistic content, examines the general and specific features of the religious festivity of Alardy from the viewpoint of artistic representation.
