FUNCTIONAL SEMANTICS OF RELATIVE SUBORDINATES WITH A CONJUNCTIVE LINK IN THE MODERN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the functional-semantic peculiarities of relative subordinate sentences with a conjunctive link in the modern English language. Two main functional-semantic types of conjunctive subordinates are described: informational and emotional-evaluative. A special attention is paid to the examination of a grammatical status of sentences with conjunctive subordinates, and also to their discursive functions.
