EXPRESSIVENESS OF THE PLANE OF EXPRESSION AS A FOUNDATION OF A SOUND-DESCRIPTIVE CONNOTATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract. The article examines the expressiveness of linguistic units of various levels in the aspect of its connection with sound description of the language from the viewpoint of the plane of expression and formation of a so-called connotation, appearing on the basis of the euphony of texts, written with the help of phonostylistic techniques. The interaction of the form and content is shown on the concrete linguistic material, contributing to the appearance of semantic associations.
