GENDER PECULIARITIES OF VERBAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION IN THE GREETINGS POSTED ON THE SITES OF THE BRITISH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract. The article analyzes gender peculiarities of the authors of the principals’ greetings posted on the English-language sites of the British educational institutions. These greetings are a kind of advertisement of an educational institution and come out as the small texts the pragmatic orientation of which clearly represents the influence of gender factor. Having examined the sampling compiled from the mentioned texts the researcher identified and systematized the gender markers of the communicants taking into account both the verbal behaviour of the greetings authors and the specifics of the target audience.
