ARCHETYPAL OPPOSITION LIFE-DEATH IN THE POEMS BY A. S. PUSHKIN

Abstract. The article examines the opposition "life-death" in the poetry by A. S. Pushkin. The researcher provides an analysis of the antonymic pairs forming this opposition, discovers their grammatical characteristic. The paper reveals the author’s original understanding of life and death actualized on different parameters, explores the stylistic effect of this opposition in the certain poetical fragments, analyzes its contextual peculiarities.
