THE DIFFERENTIATION OF COLLOCATIONS AND PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article examines the question of the necessity of differentiation of collocations and phraseological units in the Russian and English languages, the analysis, which allows certifying the presence of certain general characteristics, but the absence of a full identity between them, is conducted. The authors substantiate the statement that exactly the differentiating character of features conditions the demarcation of collocations and phraseological units.
