"GENRE STYLES" IN TEXTUAL SPHERE OF LITERARY COMMUNICATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE POEM "THE CANTERBURY TALES")

Abstract. The article considers some aspects of relational and co-relational connections of the categories "genre" and "style" in the texts of the Middle Ages literary communication by the textual material of the poem "The Canterbury Tales". The problem is studied on the basis of the provisions of the dominant at the present stage of developing philological thought of the discourse theory that are combined with the theory of genre styles, taking into account the specificity of the adverbial-cultural context of the period under consideration.
