NOTION OF "HOUR" IN THE TUVAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the concept of "time" in the context of traditional cultural worldview of the Tuvinians and identifies the main lexical means of expressing the daily cycle of time. The author pays considerable attention to the lexemes, phrases and phrasal combinations indicating folk methods of determining the time that are related to the peculiarities of everyday life and the realia of nomadic life.
