ACTIVATION OF SEMANTIC DIFFERENTIATION OF SYNONYMS IN THE CONTEXTS REALIZING SEMANTIC FUNCTIONS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of realization of semantic functions of the systemic synonyms. Systemic synonyms are investigated in the contexts realizing semantic functions of substitution and clarification, with a view, on the one hand, to compare their place in the synonymic line, and, on the other hand, to concretize the thought within the text. Synonymic line as a systemic integrity of words with their own nucleus and periphery is penetrated by centrifugal, centripetal and multidirectional nature of transferring the meaning from one synonymic unit to the other. Considering such movement of thought in the context allows detailing and concretizing semantic nuances of synonyms.
