Abstract. The article examines the problem of interaction of the structures of meaning and sense in the discourse by the material of V. Narbikova’s works. Detailed analysis of the differences and similarities of the investigated phenomena allows concluding on the essence of the mechanism for creating the phenomena of linguistic absurdity in a literary text; the analyzed mechanism consists in the special interaction of language and consciousness.
