FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES OF THE MEANS OF EXPRESSING POSSESSIVENESS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the multi-level means of expressing possessiveness in the English language. The author describes their functional properties, specifics of pragmatic interpretation of the possessive meanings. By the example of the possessive meaning "property" the researcher analyzes the differences in the means of representing possessive relation, considers the representation of the various aspects of this type of relation and different level of its detailing.
